Another year has passed and another thoroughly enjoyable Bikers4Life has been and gone. The Lakeside Manor was rocking again this year and I for one still have a sore neck from all the headbanging!

A massive thank you to all of the people who took part in Bikers4Life again this year. You guys make it all possible.

As always a big thank you to Derek from Allmoto.ie for supplying the raffle prizes on the night. We would also like the thank the Lakeside Manor for allowing us to make use of the venue again this year (and for not closing the bar!).

Plans for 2011 are already brewing and we will be making an announcement soon about our plans for 2010.

Thanks again everyone, I look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Having a look on the Mondello website for information about this weekends racing I came across two items of interest that I think Mondello should be congratulated for.

    Mondello Superbike Championship

The first relates to the weekend's racing itself Mondello appear to have done their best to make this event as accessible to spectators as possible with very good pricing.

    Full details here

The the good news is that Mondello are offering a discount to all attendees this weekend.

So all in all that looks like a great weekends racing for both competitors and spectators alike. Well done Mondello Park.

Michael Dunlop will not be taking any part in the Cookstown 100 this season after having a disagreement with event organisers.

The NW200 winner is angry at the club's refusal to grant him an entry for the Open 'A' race, along with the other top-10 finishers from last year's race.

Dunlop has instead entered the Triumph Tripple challenge which will take place in Assen, Holland.

Ryan Farquhar has also hit out at this decision while blasting it as "ludicrous".

Valentino Rossi has made the best possible start to his MotoGP World Championship defence at the opening round in Qatar.

The 7 time champion made a good start to the race though he was still behind both Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa who rocketed off the line to take the lead after starting from 7th on the grid.

Stoner was able to pass Pedrosa early on and gain a substantial advantage by the time Rossi made his way through to second.

On the 5th lap Stoner then lost the front of his Ducati handing the lead to Rossi in what could turn out to be a crucial race ass the series move back into Europe.

Stoner takes the pole in the opening round of the 2010 MotoGP series in Qatar. Stoner has dominated proceedings in every session so far this weekend and looks very strong for the race.

Defending champion Valentino Rossi put in a strong showing towards the end of qualifying and is 3/10 off the Aussies' pace.

Jorge Lorenzo takes third position on the grid with Randy DePuniet completing the front row beating the two factory Honda's.

Looking forward to today's race now. What are people's thoughts on the Moto2 class. Was quite odd to hear the 4 strokes roaring after the 125's.

Irish rider Eugene Laverty has taken the first step in his bid to be the World Supersport Champion this season by taking the win in the opening round in Phillip Island. The Toomebridge man was leading when the race was red flagged due to oil on the track.

When the race was restarted as a 21 lap race Laverty again took to the front and never looked back. In a masterful display Laverty set the fastest lap of the race and took to the top step of the podium with Lascorz taking second and Sofuoglu claiming third for Honda.
